LIC’s New Jeevan Anand is a most popular plan suitable for all kinds of people. This plan gives you 25% extra risk coverage during the policy term and also a free risk coverage for lifelong even after maturity. The slogan itself gives the security to the insured and the insured family-“ Zindagi ke saath bhi – Zindagi ke baad bhi”. Incase of unfortunate death during the policy term, 125%of sum assured along with bonus is paid to the nominee. Incase of accidental death, 125%of sum assured + DAB sum assured (equal to basic sum assured) along with bonus will be paid to nominee. In case of survival, sum assured along with bonus and final additional bonus (if any) is paid to the policy holder at the end of the policy term. Along with this, a free risk coverage equal to basic sum assured is continued till he/she is alive. On the event of death, the free risk coverage sum assured is given to the nominee. Note: Premiums paid towards LIC policy are exempted under section 80C and any Maturity/Death benefit received from LIC are exempted under section 10(10D).
